In 2014 the Yoga Room conducted a retreat in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany in the picturesque nature reserve of Valdinievole. The 15th century farmhouse was the venue of our yoga retreat. It’s positioned on a steep hilltop with panoramic views all around, and just a short trek to spectacular Thermal Baths. 15 km’s from the medieval city of Lucca, and 30 km from Florence- the centre of Italian Renaissance, this incredible oasis lies amidst open expanses of vineyards and olive groves.
Tuscany is where the union of art and nature has been celebrated for thousands of years. Rolling hills, charming towns, hospitable locals and rich cuisine combined to showcase Italy in its purity. A week was spent in amongst sweeping vistas which gave all participants the opportunity view life from a different perspective. Five hours of guided and supported yoga each day contributed to the transformation of every participant. Additional activities included a group trip to visit to the thermal baths and a day trip to the medieval city of Lucca.
